Dd15 losing fuel prime
Dec 4, 2019 · Hello Everyone, I need help with DD15, the truck has some fuel issues. The code I have its Fuel Rail Pressure too low, it has a hard time starting and at 1000rpm its cutting, its not idlingling smooth. I did Idle speed balancing, it seems to be fine, also did FSIC test, its fine except (rail pressure did not meet requirements). PCV valve reads 2. The return fuel lines are hard to see a leak under atmospheric pressure. So when the fuel tanks are under a vacuum it's easier to detect a leak, sucking in air bubbles. Sounds like it was a loss of prime that cranking the starter to prime it up, eventually allowed it to get prime. Hence the metal in fuel, starved fuel lubricated pump.

Well, you have the BEAR, that is what it is called once losing the fuel prime. The dealers have machines to get the system primed.
